    Mumbai:Contrary to reports, Amitabh Bachchan, who played the iconic cop Vijay in Prakash Mehra's Zanjeer in 1973, won't be making an appearance in the remake.
    When contacted, director Apoorva Lakhia said: "Although it would be an honour for any filmmaker to have India's most iconic actor in his film, Amitji won't be playing a role in Zanjeer.

  • Russian businessman digs 60-metre tunnel in Siberia, steals 30 tonnes of crude

    : A 52-year-old businessman in Siberia dug a 60-metre-long tunnel and siphoned off some 30 tonnes of crude oil from a pipeline, police said.


    The man dug the tunnel in the oil-rich Novosibirsk region to reach the Omsk-Irkutsk pipeline, which belongs to Transsibneft, a subsidiary of Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft.

  • Pakistani boys repatriated to PoK by Indian Army as a goodwill gesture

    Jammu: The army on Sunday handed over two Pakistani boys, who had crossed the Line of Control into India, to the Pakistan army as a goodwill gesture.

    Rehmatullah, 15, and Inayatullah, 12, of Kotli area of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) had crossed over to this side of the LoC in Nowshera sector on Friday in "search of employment", said Col RK Palta, Jammu-based spokesperson of the army.

    The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

    New Delhi: The main Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rejected the demand of the Italian government of trying two of its marines in Rome, saying the duo should be tried under Indian law. "Italians can say whatever they want. Facts don't change. Italians killed two Indians in Indian waters. They should be tried in India under Indian law," BJP leader Balbir Punj said.
