Virat Kohli has been rested, and Manish Pandey, who scored a match winning unbeaten century against Australia in the fifth ODI at Sydney, has won a place in the Twenty20 team.
Negi has taken 21 wickets from 27 IPL matches with five for 22 as his best for Chennai Super Kings against Kolkata Knight Riders at Bengaluru in 2014. He has played 13 matches for Delhi Daredevils and 14 for CSK. In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20, he took six wickets at 33.66 for Delhi.
The women’s team that will play three ODIs and three T20 matches against Sri Lanka at Ranchi from Feb. 15 to 26 has also been named. The ODIs will be played on Feb. 15, 17 and 19 and the T20Is on Feb. 22, 24 and 26.
Before that, the women’s team is scheduled to play the first of the three-match ODI series at Canberra on Tuesday.
