    SHIMLA: In its status report filed in the Himachal Pradesh high court on Beas tragedy, in which 24 engineering students from Hyderabad and their co-tour guide had lost their lives in the swollen river, the state government has stated that it has asked the power department to get an inquiry conducted into the working of State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) and Northern Regional Load Disptach Centre (NRLDC) by a technical person not below the rank of chief engineer. The inquiry would ascertain as to why only the state run power projects were asked to reduce power generation while other projects continued to run on full, or in some cases above, capacity.
